Luiza is a firm favourite here at Team Sloth – though the tracking team might disagree, since she’s a master at hide-and-seek and always chooses the tallest trees. This beautiful three-fingered sloth lives by the beach and has truly earned her ‘super mom’ title, raising four babies in just four years – all successfully!

About Your Adoption

When you adopt a sloth, you will receive login access to our private Sloth Adoption Portal where you can:

  • See your sloth’s real-time location on our interactive GPS tracking map.

  • Follow every adventure with the latest Tracking Diaries - updates straight from our field team each time they find and observe your sloth.

  • Get to know your sloth with a downloadable biography.

  • Access images and behind-the-scenes updates.

  • Stay connected every month with a summary update full of stories, photos, and special highlights about what your sloth has been up to.

Find answers to the most common questions about our adoption packages.

  • Yes! Our adoption packages make the best gifts. Simply select “Dedicate this donation” at checkout and enter the recipient’s details. You will be prompted to send the recipient an e-card after you have made the donation. The e-card will let you notify the lucky recipient directly and will include all the details they need to access the adoption portal! If you want the adoption to stay a surprise until a special date, simply don’t send the e-card right away. You will receive a link to it in your inbox, so you can choose exactly when to send it.

  • Your adoption will remain active for as long as your donation is ongoing. It will automatically renew on either a monthly or annual basis (depending on your plan) unless you choose to cancel.

  • You’ll get full access to the Sloth Adoption Portal within 2 working days (and usually much sooner).

  • You’ll receive an email from us with your login details for the Sloth Adoption Portal. If you’re adopting as a gift, we’ll send the recipient their own login link so they can access it directly.

  • Our Sloth Adoption Portal will give you access to:

    • A live GPS tracking map to follow your sloth’s movements.

    • Regular Tracking Diaries and field updates from our team.

    • Downloadable photos and a biography of your sloth.

    • Monthly email updates with stories, photos, and highlights.

  • Adoptions start at just $5/month or $60 for one year. You’re also welcome to give more if you’d like to increase your impact.

  • Yes! Our adoption packages are fully virtual. As long as you have internet access, you can adopt a sloth and enjoy updates, downloads, and GPS tracking.

  • Absolutely! 100% of your donation supports our conservation and research efforts to create a safer future for wild sloths. We’re also committed to full transparency – you can explore our annual reports and financials anytime on the Financials tab.
